I am an Italian freelancer with a graduation degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures in English and Italian.
After graduation, because of the economical crisis in Italy, I was not able to find a job related to the subjects of my degree. So I worked for 1.5 year as employee in a recruitment agency, where I was responsible for the following activities: selection interviews also in English, contacts with customers and proactivity for searching for new customers, employee management and insertion of the number of their working hours in order to process their payments, employment contracts.
Then, a friend of mine introduced me for the job of secretary in an International Law Firm and I was employeed with a three-year apprentice contract. But after 1 year I understood that it was not the right job for me, as I wanted to work with the languages I studied.
So I made the big decision to start a new life, as a freelance translator.
Thanks to my previous work experiences I am specialised in many fields such as: mechanics, engineering, law (contracts), human resources, business/commerce.
I usually translate instruction manuals, technical data sheets, agreements, contracts, texts for websites, brochures, fairs and I have translated also manuals and price lists concerning furniture. |
