以往多去 Bar Harbor, 因油費貴，所以省卻數小時的車程，改去了 Old Orchard Beach, Saco Bay, Maine 差不多一個星期，那裡風和日麗，真爽。你那邊沒事吧！

你们住在 Boston, 大概越往北走风景越漂亮. 你拍的灯塔一景很令人向往. Maine 的海岸我没去过, 以前住在纽约, 去趟 Cape Cod 就已精疲力尽了
Austin 离海岸挺远, 基本上遭不到飓风的威胁. 要不然总统适 Hurricane Gustav 之际呆在我们这里督战呢. 这次 Hurricane Ike 我们连雨都没见到什么, 飓风全从 Texas 东边北上了. 不过当地有的学校接收了一些 evacuees.

No wonder ... I thought the images looked familiar.
Yesterday morning I wanted to say they looked a lot like the photos Shaunna posted before; and indeed I can see now that some of them were taken at almost the same location.

陳太說﹕無問題，照片可借用。她大選過後才回美，但在上海收到的郵寄選票，已寄出。她說患上思鄉病，我問，是那個鄉？台山、廣州、香港，還是波士頓？她應該是答不出來，是生活比對下的震蕩，目睹鏡頭前強烈的差距，是一個怎麼樣的心情，復雜得難以形容。是離鄉與回鄉之間的選擇，退休後要在那裡安頓下來，似乎是還言之過早，但要預先計劃一下，她總得要說服我，上海是其中的一個選擇，這個陌生的國度，竟然是我們的根，上天一定是考驗這個游子，對故國的忠誠，但是，又有誰會知道，離開時所穿的大衣，已經不稱身了，攜來的行李亦已散失，那還可以有選擇嗎？

It was quite a surprise to learn that this folder's visibility in Mainland China was intermittent at best.
I made a request to the forum moderator to delete my post that contained the link to the PBS Frontline program "Young and Restless in China", just in case it was causing a problem for the whole folder - quite a shame since it is such a wonderful folder!
Much obliged to the moderator for kindly granting my request, and apologies to the forum in case my post was indeed the culprit.
