I have searched for the prosecutors standpoint but I can't find it in these 101 pages (they deal mostly with preparations for the trial). On the other hand, I found this: >>Në përfundim të Gjykimit të zhvilluar në mungesë të te pandehurit, Gjykata me vendimin nr. x, datë mm.dd.yy ka vendosur deklarimin fajtor për kryerjën e veprës penale të falsifikimit të dokumentave dhe në bazë të nenit y/3 të K. penal, dënimin e tij me 2 (dy) vjet burgim<<. This gave me the idea that "përfundimisht" is a synonym for "në përfundim". Supported by Newmark's second alternative: "in the end; finally", and by my Albanian-Swedish dictionary which says it can be equivalent to "më në fund, në fund, tek e fundit". This was less than evident depending on the place of the word at the end of the sentence, I think.

In this context, "final sentence' is the correct answer.
For any criminal act, the judge determines the type of punishment, imprisonment length and so on. To my understanding (from the partial text of the decision you made available here), the final imprisonment duration might have been reduced (the imprisonment length decided by the judge might have been different from the length recommended by the prosecutor)

... I got the possibilty to start a discussion. You already know what I think of "final" and "ultimate". I would like to know if there is another suggestion. The assignment is finished (problem solved the brutal way: I ignored what I didn't understand) but I always try to learn more.
