I am looking for an Albanian word for the psychological process that makes you deny, subconsciously/subliminally, something that you can't even stand to think of.

: represion and ndrydh are both used but represion is not an Albanian word, rather it is an adopted one.

Indeed, particularly when used in a text that is to be consumed by the masses. "Represion" and its derivatives, i.e. "represuar", "represoj", are just too unnatural although "represion" is viewed to be academically acceptable.
