English to Chinese translations [PRO]
Linguistics / personal name
English term or phrase: Davor Ivic
It is my personal name written in Croatian. In English it would phonetically sound like Dahvor Evitch (E sounds like in the word "evening"). Can somebody please help me here?

伊达沃

Explanation:
In Chinese, we put the last name first and the first name last, so "伊"(pronounced as "e" in evening) will be your last name, which is also a common last name in China. "达沃” is the phonetic translation of Davor, in Chinese "达" means achievement, "沃” means booming, prosperity.

Hope it helps.

BTW, "伊达沃" will be a more localized name, say if you want to introduce yourself or put it on your business card. If you're talking about putting it on a publication or something, or purely translating it phonetically, it will be 达沃尔·伊维奇.
