English term or phrase: NIV or NASB Bible translation equivalent
I am at the moment working on a translation with a lot of bible quotes in it. The client has asked me to use an equivalent of these bible translations for Dutch and Spanish. Any ideas? I have been using the Statenvertaling for the Dutch for now but it seems a bit outdated.

Explanation:
I would suggest 'De Nieuwe Bijbelvertaling', published by Uitgeverij NBG (Heerenveen) and Katholieke Bijbelstichting ('s-Hertogenbosch). ISBN 90-6126-861-3, ISBN 90-6126-859-1 (with deuterocanonical books) or ISBN 90-6126-865-6 (with, I believe, an addition for children)
It's quite a new translation, first published in 2004. Contemporary Dutch, and I would say a fair equivalent of the New International Version. Cheers!

agree  Marjolein Turner-Prins (X): I remember reading info about De Niewe Bijbelvertaling when they were still working on it, and one of the things it said was that it would be quite similar to the NIV. I also read both the NIV and the Nieuwe Vertaling and find them reasonably similar.
