English term or phrase: Qur'an English vs Qor'an or Qur'an in Dutch
The name of Holy book of Islam is written in English as as "Qur'an"

When it comes to Dutch, there are a few versions used by people.

Qoran, Qoraan, Qoer'an, Qoeran, Qur'an, etc

The majority of the Dutch words starting with the letter Q continues with the letter U. This may be due to the roots of Q goes into French.

I asked this to many people. The ones insisting to use one of the form which does not include "U"
saying the letter U is pronounced differently in Dutch. (like U in the cute)

Therefore, pronounciation of Qur'an will be sounding weird.

others say this is not correct. Because other words like "quote", "quiz" etc are also in the same combination and U is not pronounced differently.

To cut it short, I kindly ask from Dutch linguists what would be the correct usage and correct spelling.

Dutch translation:Koran
Explanation:
Qoran would be closer to the Arabic spelling (which uses a Quf and not a Kaf), but is not common in Dutch.
The vowel 'u' is normally pronounced as the 'u' in 'Dutch', which is not what you want here. The examples you quote are invalid, because in those (foreign) words the 'u' is pronounced as 'w'.
In short, as Steven already said, it should be 'Koran'.

agree  Alexander C. Thomson: Definitely with a K. Note also that it is very often found in lower case: ‘de koran’. Dutch orthography never transliterates letter qaf with a ‘k’. Also, even academic sources very rarely indeed use an apostrophe for ’alif or put a macron bar on the ‘a’.
