in fact there is nothing sure about this trial going ahead during the "warned period" - it's only a possibility.
As far as I can see, scheduling a trial in a "warned period" amounts to including it in a kind of "waiting list", where it will be kept for a defined period of time.
No idea if there is some technical term used by French courts, but this is clear enough.

Clearly the "set period" is only the period during which the case is kept on this "waiting list", NOT the period allocated for sure for the trial.

Crown Court ‘Warned List'
A ‘warned list' is used by a Crown Court as a list of backup cases that can be called if another trial cannot go ahead.
