Généralement, cette expression "en avoir pour son argent" veut tout simplement dire qu'on ne peut prétendre (connotation négative qu'exigent certains) à un service ou produit de qualité que si on y met le prix qu'il faut. Dans le cas contraire, eh bien, "on n'en aura que pour son argent". N'est-ce pas?

That one is not easy to catch (seeing the many different suggestions and comments) and not so easy to translate either «dans un vrai bon français». Wolfheart was very close though. That is why I love translating! Exciting, isn't it?
