hallo, der alte jimmy carter erzählt über nordkorea unter anderem:

North Korean officials have (...) permitted access by nuclear experts to an advanced facility for **purifying uranium**. The same officials had made it clear to me that this array of centrifuges would be "on the table" for discussions with the United States, although **uranium purification** was not covered in the 1994 agreements.

zeitraum irgendwann zwischen juli 2010 und heute. ich würde ja stark vermuten, dass er sich auf die anlagen zur urananreicherung bezieht. allerdings habe ich ein paarmal purification und enrichment als getrennte prozesse gefunden - was meint ihr, sprachliche schludrigkeit oder doch was ganz anderes? tia!

Asker: danke - ist aber natürlich noch kein beweis dafür, dass man mit den zentrifugen nicht auch eine purifizierung (oder so) machen kann, die irgendwie was anderes ist als anreicherung...

agree  mrmp: m.E., zumindest in diesem Kontext, auch keine sprachliche Schludrigkeit, sondern lediglich alternative Wortwahl, die (je nach Kontext) im Deutschen keinen Niederschlag finden muss. Meine Meinung, ohne Beweis ;-)
