Generally the term "number" is "संख्या "(sankhyaa) but you have mentioned that it is a header of lot of words which indicates (according to me) that it's from a chapter for learning numbers. We call this type of chapter "गिनती".

In general, 'gintee' means counting. And I strongly felt that from 'one to million' words of a language denotes the counting language of that very language. If it is used any other sense, then 'number' is just 'संख्या' or 'संख्याएं'
