English term or phrase: self transcendent
I think that human beings do have a genetic propensity for spirituality. That's why spirituality it's found in every single culture around the globe. I think that humans are hard-wired to be able to get outside of themselves and to be self transcendent.

nie wiem, czy raczej - "transcendentALNY" nie byłoby właściwsze

to tak, jak ja :)) ...
ale, obstawiam - samotranscendentny - z pisownią łącznie

myślę też, że rzucenie okiem na - hierarchię potrzeb -- model Abrahama Maslowa -- nieco przybliża kwestię

Notes to answerer
Asker: Cholera wie, wg PWN: transcendentny [łac. transcendens ‘przekraczający’], filoz. istniejący na zewnątrz czegoś, wykraczający poza coś; znajdujący się poza zasięgiem doświadczenia. transcendentalny [łac. transcendentalis < transcendens ‘przekraczający’], filoz. wykraczający poza treść i przedmiot poznania jako podmiotowy (aprioryczny) jego warunek; tu chyba bardziej "transcendentny" pasuje... ale ja sie na filozofii nie znam... ;)
