English term or phrase: tissue session
I first heard the phrase 'tissue session' in a sitcom about advertising, but I couldn't understand the concept in-depth, nor could I find an equivalent in Romanian. Now the reason I'm writing this in English is because I am also looking for a definition/explanation si un echivalent in limba romana.

Explanation:

In limba egleza, insa, este clar. Am gasit si o referinta:

The term “tissue” existed well before computers sat on everyone’s desktop, at a time when art directors could draw (quaint idea, I know). When a copy/art team was concepting possible creative solutions to a client challenge, the art director, armed usually with magic markers, would serve as the writer’s “wrist” — another term in need of definition – using oversize “tissue” paper to “comp” – still another piece of jargon — the ideas they formulated.
The tissue would come in large pads; it was cheaper than vellum or other, more expensive forms of paper, and easily disposable, which proved useful, given how many of these would wind up in the “round file” (more jargon, this one for “trash”).

So that’s the “tissue” part of the term. But what about part two, the “session” part? In this case, we were taking about new business, but the term refers to any presentation you hold as part of the creative process.

With new business, clients, sadly, often demand that prospective agencies do “spec” creative – yet another term in need of explaining — as part of the final round of presentations. Some agencies might choose to go from the client’s assignment briefing to a finished presentation without further client meetings. But more enlightened shops would request one or more “tissue sessions,” in which they share their ideas in rough form, prior to the final presentation.
