Am ales acest "triaj" epidemiologic pentru că în acest caz nu este doar o evaluare pre-școlară, o inspectare sau apreciere, este o triere între cei care sunt sănătoși și cei care par să fi fost expuși la o anumită boală, să fie contaminați și să transmită mai departe. Foarte asemănător cu triajul de la camera de urgență.
