Din păcate, gramaticile formale ale limbii engleze și limbii române nu înseamnă o simplă translație a unor concepte echivalente, ci sunt chiar scoli de gândire diferite. De exemplu, limba engleză consideră PROPOZIȚII și structurile gerundive și participiale... La fel si aici, ”noun clause” este un concept neutilizat ca atare in gramatica românească.

For the record, ”propoziție nominală” in română este, pur si simplu, o propoziție căreia îi lipseste verbul (subanteles).

Cf: În propoziția nominală, predicatul este nominal, lipsind verbul copulativ. Unele sunt în variație liberă cu corespondentele lor verbale (Bine că ai venit / E bine că ai venit), altele sunt consacrate ca nominale, neavând corespondente verbale: Ferice de tine!

”Noun clause”, pe de altă parte, este o propoziție care, in întregul său, functionează ca un substantiv (poate fi înlocuită cu un substantiv):

neutral  Brindusa Simionescu: Nu înțeleg totuși de ce propozitia nu poate fi, simplu, nominală. La urma urmei, "propoziția nominală" din limba română se numește astfel din considerentee ce țin de structură, nu de unitatea pe care o înlocuiește la nivel sintactic... just a thought
