English term or phrase: bluing

Un expert spune: "I wish I could see the bluing". Cineva întreabă "What’s the bluing? Just like a finish or something?" şi expertul explică: "Yeah, like, gun bluing. It has this beautiful blue sheen that just makes the gold pop out, all the etching and the gold pop out."

Cuvântul mai apare o dată în text. "The only thing that I would love to see on this blade better is that bluing on the blade."

Explanation:
Oxford Dictionary:
bluing (also blueing)
n noun
1 chiefly historical blue powder used to preserve the whiteness of laundry.
2 a greyish-blue finish on metal produced by heating.
