a lăsa baltă Definition from Dicționar Explicativ  :A lăsa baltă = a lăsa (ceva sau pe cineva) în părăsire, a nu se mai interesa (de ceva sau de cineva). Example sentence(s):
Explanation: The word "baltă" means a dirty lake or puddle, a moor, a swamp, comparing very well what somebody does to another one. The translator played with the word even included it in the last name of the dude who did it. I hope people with that Romanian last name won't get offended by my sentence. |

Explanation: There are some nuances here to better render the meaning of ghosting, i.e. not to be in contact with someone any more, which is rendered by that "mai" in the phrase "a nu mai băga în seamă pe cineva" implying some previous relationships being cut off. |
