Pues si tiene que ser un acrónimo, lo único que se me ocurre es que la maquinaria cuyo manual estás traduciendo tenga puertas y que D/DOOR sea el acrónimo o abreviatura de DOUBLE DOOR, es decir, de una puerta doble. Espero que esto te sirva.

Asker: Hello José, thank you for your reply. I am translating a machinery manual and the section says specifically Acronyms, that´s where I found this term. I´ve been trying to search for the acronym in English first in order to translate it into Spanish but still nothing.

Sin más contexto me resulta difícil interpretarlo, pero a mí me hace pensar que D/Door significa que Door está abreviado con una D en algún dibujo que aparezca o más adelante se vaya a abreviar solo con la letra D. Como si en español dijéramos: P = Puerta y más adelante en el dibujo solo apareciera la letra. En caso de ser así y si no estás traduciendo las imágenes deberás dejarlo como:

D/Puerta o más claro: D = Puerta.
