Entiendo el concepto (como el "asistente" ("wizard") de toda la vida, que te guía en los pasos de un proceso). ¿Existe alguna diferencia entre "Wizzard" y "Stepper"?

Hay muchos sitios que explican que es un stepper y la gran mayoría dejan el término en inglés. En este blog (https://blog.gfi.es/asistentes-por-pasos-usabilidad-y-buenas... usan "asistentes por pasos" como alternativa a stepper.

Ahora bien, en este contexto no veo la necesidad de marcar la diferencia en la traducción al español; tampoco dejaría el término en inglés. Para el usuario se trata simplemente de un "asistente".
