et seq. as used in: published at zürich in four volumes (1545 et seq.) بعد ازاں Explanation: As a history term, it would mean "and follow on"بعد ازاں... Like 1904 et seq will refer to the era from 1904 and after. Thanks |

et seq. as used in: published at zã¼rich in four volumes (1545 et seq.) and the following/and what follows/aur hasbe tarteeb-e-zail Explanation: The phrase in each of the examples cited by the asker refers to the 'things/ words/or whatever follows in sequence' to the term before et.seq in the statement. The sequence will depend upon the context as in the example above: it looks that the book was published at Zurich in four volumes in the year 1545,1546,'47... or the sequence defined by the context. So even in qudsia Ji's question appropriate translation would be: aur hasbe tarteebe-zail. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 12 hrs (2007-08-07 04:37:51 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- i) and ii) examples cited by the asker ie 19 04 and 1781refer to years in christian era while the ex.iii) obviously refers to page No. in the referred book.
