This and 'zijdelingse vordering' have flummoxed me. I understand the basic concept, but cannot come up with a pithy English equivalent. All help appreciated!

In the end I found this, which mentions 'Bij geveinsde vertegenwoordiging wordt de schijn gewekt dat de persoon die commerciële activiteiten stelt, in naam en voor rekening van een ander handelt, terwijl deze in werkelijkheid voor zichzelf handelt. Dit is geoorloofd als geen wettelijke bepaling wordt geschonden en geen schade aan derden wordt berokkend'. So I have gone for 'artificial declaration', which (kind of) makes sense to me!
