French term or phrase: Filière Licence Professionnelle
I have come across the phrase "Filière Licence Professionnelle" on a transcript from Cadi Ayyad University (Marrakech) but I cannot find an English equivalent. Any prompt help is appreciated.

English translation:Professional Bachelors' degree
Explanation:
I would say this is simply a professional program, easily translated as a 'professional bachelor's degree'.

The word that was mostly causing problems was "filière". Again, is it Bachelors' or Bachelor's?

neutral  Chakib Roula: In this particular context, the word"professional" is rather vocational training.

-> I think that depends on the context (see my comment below.)

neutral  Eliza Hall: Yes, "professional" at least in US English means licensed professions: doctor, nurse, lawyer... so whether this should be professional or vocational depends on what the subject of study is.

-> I don't know that that's necessarily true (I have a 'professional master's degree' in French,) but I do agree that more information about the subject studied would be helpful.

agree  Adrian MM.: with Professional Qualification Program or 'Stream' eng.proz.com/kudoz/french-to-english/medical-general/3529327-filière.html It's unclear, though, whether a degree had been clocked up or the exams(s) even taken.

neutral  Yvonne Gallagher: "licence professionnelle" has been asked lots of times before and in glossary so don't know why asker couldn't find it. Important to have full context. We don't even know if they got a degree!
