French term or phrase: Arrêt de production
Hi everyone,

I'm currently translating a set of work specifications and am trying to work out how best to transpose "arrêt de production" into English.

In this context, it's a paragraph entitled "Arrêt de production ou modification de la provenance". The text underneath it gives a scenario in which a given product is no longer sold, hence it is no longer produced.

Seeing as I don't believe we are talking about shutting down the production line completely but simply stopping the production of a given reference, do you think I could simply put "End of production"?

"Production stoppage" and "halt in production" make me think of a temporary state which could be reversed.

Any thoughts or other suggestions?

Product discontinuation

Explanation:
I should translate "Product discontinuation" as this reflects a temporary state
Another translation could: "Product taken-out", but this reflects the more radical decision of not producing the respective product.
