Verantwortung übernehmen It's OK Explanation: It is correct and understandable, although not perhaps the best possible style. The phrase "to take responsibility" is certainly OK - although I might prefer "take on" rather than just take in this context as a more accurate rendering of übernehmen. Due to is a phrase I would choose to avoid if possible - if it's a matter of style I would rather say "I developed self-confidence through having to take on ...." or "taking on responsibility .... developed my self-confidence" |
