waste reduction station Explanation: The purpose of this station in the process train appears to be to prevent or at least reduce the generation of any waste material in bag production, thereby converting what was previously waste into "useful" material, hence the "Nutzen." I don't see any convenient way to express this in English, so it would probably be better to turn it around say "waste reduction station" or possibly "waste prevention station." For obvious reasons "waste elimination station" would probably not be a good choice here. :) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 11 hrs (2020-01-29 19:38:13 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Reference:https://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literat... |

Reference: Nutzen Reference information: I strongly suspect that "Nutzen" has the meaning referred to at https://www.folian.com/glossar in this case (although the German term is much more commonly used in the graphics/printing/publishing industry): "Nutzen: Im grafischen Gewerbe Bezeichnung für das Stück Papier, Pappe, Gewebe u.a. von beliebiger Größe, das aus einem größeren Stück herausgeschnitten wurde. In der Druckerei versteht man unter Nutzen die Anzahl der Einzelexemplare, die sich aus einem Druckbogen bzw. Druckträger schneiden lassen." See also https://www.proz.com/kudoz/german-to-english/manufacturing/7... and https://www.proz.com/kudoz/english-to-german/printing-publis... The "Abfallgitter" could then be an "offcut grid" or something along these lines (not sure about the English term, though). |
