Normally, nobody speaks of "one date". The IT sector deals with many data (data stream, data set, data record, data base, etc.). This raises the question, what a 'date unit' means. Is it a "word" (8 bits)?
The data includes many ‘identifiers,’ ranging from a serial-like IMEI number that is unique to each handset to unique operating system identifiers and even location information
:
The constant transmission of identifier data is important to delivering seamless and tailored services and content to users. However, the uniquely revealing nature of identifiers, combined with the inconsistencies in how they are collected, transmitted, and secured, raise serious security and privacy concerns.
