This is the title of a chapter. So, I am looking for a short phrase/set of words. Any help would be appreciated. Army personnel's wife or something like that would not work here. Maybe something more compact, and brings out her loneliness when the husband is away. She is a young protagonist and that is what this chapter describes.

Grass-widow

Grass-widow is used to describe a woman whose husband is away often or for a prolonged period. This seems a very good option for a chapter heading. Both with hyphen and without hyphen are acceptable in English.
