Italian term or phrase: in forma quasi sceneggiata
Context:
"Oltre a essere chiari e entusiasta, occorre trasferire agli ascoltatori la plasticità e la forma visiva del progetto, usando esempi concreti, e raccontando soprattutto quel che si vede, in forma quasi sceneggiata, tralasciando considerazioni teoriche/astratte.

This is about pitching an idea for a TV show.

I'm confused by the phrase "in forma quasi sceneggiata" because it sounds to me like "as if it were a TV show", but it IS a TV show, so how else could you possible describe it? Or is it just underlining the importance of describing the visual element of the program?
Grazie!

I consulted with the client and this is precisely what they mean! Everyone's answers were more or less along the right lines, but I think "dramatize" is a good choice

almost like a screenplay

Explanation:
They're talking about the pitch rather than the show itself, saying that it must tell a story and give a clear mental picture of what the show is about.

almost like you are reading from a script

Explanation:
Yes, the idea is that of a script or screenplay, as the colleagues suggested. Stick with the script and stay away from abstract considerations.

Notes to answerer
Asker: There seem to be two rather different interpretations. One, that it should be almost scripted; two, that is should be expressive and dynamic... hmm..

...almost like a set(scenic) design

Explanation:
Or :
As if for a set design
As if for scenic design

"Scenic/Set design"
Scenic design (also known as scenography, stage design, or set design) is the creation of theatrical, as well as film or television scenery. Scenic designers come from a variety of artistic backgrounds, but in recent years, are mostly trained professionals, holding a B.F.A. or M.F.A. degrees in theater arts. Scenic designers design sets and scenery that aim to support the overall artistic goals of the production. There has been a consideration that scenic design is also production design; however, more accurately, it is a part of the visual production of a film or television.

Explanation:
I'm a bit relunctant to post an answer because I have nothing really to back up my reading of the sentence, but maybe it's worth a shot anyway.

So I think the idea is of painting a vivid picture of the storyline and characters, focusing on the visual and emotive aspect of the show rather than any message or deeper meaning (if there is one), drawing the backers in and making them feel like they're watching the scenes.

Like staging a play or performance, acting various bits out, voicing different characters. Selling the experience more than the overarching concept.

In fact it may make more sense to treat raccontando soprattutto quel che si vede, in forma quasi sceneggiata as the unit of translation here. I think you can allow yourself some poetic licence to get the meaning across.

Example sentence(s):
  • [...] describe actual scenes and characters, flesh out the action and setting, as if you were staging a play [...]
  • [...] describe actual scenes, draw your listeners in, flesh the narrative out, put on a bit of a performance [...]

in an almost scripted form

Explanation:
The skit (scripted) is a form of theater that overexposes feelings, creates a common of emotions between audience and actors and brings out the sense of belonging to the community.
