Norwegian term or phrase: fordelingsnøkkel
Need a little expert help here (Bjørnar...;-)). Is this what is called "normal distribution" in English? My financial dictionary says "norm of distribution" but I'm not convinced. Sentence in question:
"Fordelingsnøkkelen i 2010 blir betraktelig mindre enn foregående år og dette bør tas til betraktning i årets drift av linjeforeningene".

Asker: Good, Diarmuid, then maybe we can get to the bottom of this together. It seems as though there are different solutions, depending on the field. The term is also used in IT: "A distribution key is a column (or group of columns) that is used to determine the database partition in which a particular row of data is stored. " But maybe it's what I should op for. Will come back to this.
