Norwegian to English translations [PRO]

Norwegian term or phrase: oppdragsforskning
Context is pharmaceutical trials paid for by a commercial interest. My first instinct was "commissioned research", which has some support in sources based in Norway but seems not to be much favored _in the commercial context_ outside that country. Next stop was "contract research", which seems more favored.

I really need some authority or at least some well-used examples, not merely your preference, if possible. I can flip this coin all on my own. :-)

agree  brigidm: FBIB use "commissioned" here https://www.etikkom.no/en/In-English/Publications/General-gu... . But the Research Council uses both, though "commissioned" seems far more frequently used there, too.
