"Air combat" works better in the paragraph in question. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 26 mins (2009-01-22 12:50:16 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- "Combat airpower" might be too broad as you say. The problem is that the USAF distinguishes air combat from air mobility in its commands (and formerly distinguished a strategic air command as well.)
