acribia // exactness, minuteness, precision, scrupulousness, rigorous accuracy Explanation: This word is very rarely used in Polish. It is a specialized term used by academics or linguists. Common people would most likely not know what it means. https://etymologeek.com/lat/acribia acribia - scrupulousness, rigorous accuracy https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/acribia#Italian acribia - accuracy, exactness, minuteness, precision https://it.thefreedictionary.com/acribia dokładność, sumienność w wykonaniu, w szczególności w odniesieniu do prac filologicznych https://pl.wiktionary.org/wiki/akrybia |

acriby / acribia Explanation: There are two options when translating this word: 1) use a more common and more understandable word, 2) stick to a cognate term. Personally, I would use 'acribia' or 'acriby' in this case (as obscure and incomprehensible to an Engilsh native-apeaker as 'akrybia' to Polish). -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 10 hrs (2020-11-06 22:05:27 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Might be inside the quotation marks. https://www.wordnik.com/words/acriby |
