Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical: Instruments / orthopaedics / traumatology
Spanish term or phrase: tirante
"Estabilidad de las fuerzas de conexión: Anclaje tirante."

Intent: Coupling strength stability: (Pulling?) anchor.

This is a short description of the Helios revision stem system in Total knee/hip replacement systems.

I have been unable to access the precise documentation beyond:
http://www.biometorthopaedics.ch/resource/16323/pricelist.pd...
and information in articles on clinical studies where this instrument was tested long with many others.

There have been occasions in the text where the source spellcheck has ostensibly tried to correct misspelled words and turned them into other words, whereby e.g. injerto->inserto, complicaciones->contemplaciones. Could this be another instance?

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thank you very much for the idea. After checking in the context of joint replacement anchoring, I did not see this term used.
