In my opinion "aprobado" in the context below should translate as "licensed". As I've had little experience in patents I would appreciate your say on this one.

It can mean "passed" (as in school grades) or "approved" but in the case of a patent, it is approved.

So "... composition of X Product, approved in Congo ..."
