Seabuckthorn (Hippopрhae L.) is a plant, fruit of which is quite rich in nutrients with medicinal properties. 2. The medicinal value of the plant has been documented as early as 8th Century in Tibetan Sysiem of Chinese Medicine and was recognized in the Chinese Pharmacopeia in 1977. 3. In China and Russia seabuckthorn berries and oils have been used as important raw materials of health products (functional foods and natural medicines) and cosmetics during the last a few decades. 4. As the fruit is very rich in anti-oxidants like vitamin C, E, caroienoids, etc., seabuckthorn seed and pulp oils have been shown to slow down the oxidation process and to stabilize the membrane structure in animal models. 5. Electron microscopic examination showed that seabuckthorn oil protected mitochondria of liver cells from cold exposure-caused damages. 6. Seabuck thorn seed oil has also shown antagonistic effects against cyclophosphamide-induced suppression of specific and nonspecific immune response in mice. 7. Seabuckthorn seed oil has been used as an adjuvant treatment to patients with different cancers receiving chemotherapy. 8. The seed oil treatment increased the lymphocyte transforming rate and the E rosette-forming rate. 9. Уже к началу будущей недели мне предстоит взять следующую вершину и стать… Да… а вот тут уже имеется несколько преинтереснейших вариантов. Я добросовестно работал в Рамблере уже почти два года, и несколько недель назад мне пришло извещение об уходе начальника разработки моего отдела в стартап. Решение рискованное, требующее значительных затрат, но выбор очередного витка жизни мы делаем сами, и потом по полной за этот выбор отвечаем. Желаю, чтобы он отвечал за свой выбор, как минимум, из окна «Бентли». Сначала я даже немного огорчился: почему так? Ведь мы уже сработались и все такое, а кто придет на его место, остается только догадываться. Но каково же было мое удивление, когда данное место предложили занять самому опытному, квалифицированному и амбициозному сотруднику… Мне! Is the choice obvious? Like hell! What about having some interest in your job? What about that marvellous feeling of enjoying not only the fruit of your job – in the form of material remuneration, – but also enjoying the process as it is? Oh yeah… I forgot to mention the flair: some people are very good at "pulling the boat", but others are ideal steerers. Do you get what I mean? In a hopelessly trustworthy way my blog will tell you about the difficult choice, which I have to make and what is going to come out of it. Предлагаемый нами метод репрограммирования соматических клеток основан на введении в клетку РНК, полученной в системе транскрипции in vitro, т.е. вне клетки. При этом используются безопасные прокариотические промоторные последовательности, например, SP6, T7, T3 и другие и соответствующие им полимеразы, SP6, T7, T3. При этом синтезированная in vitro РНК перед введением в клетку очищается современными методами ионнобменной хроматографии от чужеродных белков и чужеродной ДНК. Получаемые in vitro количества РНК могут измеряться милиграммами и даже граммами, а система in vitro транскрипции может быть стандартизована. В этом случае можно с точность до молекулы рассчитать какое количество РНК, кодирующей тот или иной белковый продукт, может проникнуть в клетку млекопитающих in vitro или in vivo. Для доставки РНК в клетку могут быть использованы такие методы как химическая трансфекция с использованием химических веществ, например, дендример, биологическая трансфекция с использованием липидов и белков, например, липосомы, электромеханическая трансфекция, например, электорпорация. Эти клетки являются самыми «молодыми» клетками организма, они еще не были экспонированы в окружающей среде, а получение их на этой стадии не инвазивно. The suggested method of somatic cell reprogramming is based on the injection of RNA obtained in the transcription system in vitro (i.e. outside the cell) into the cell. To do so, safe prokaryotic promoter sequences, e.g. SP6, T7, T3 and others, and respective polymerases – SP6, T7, T3 – shall be used. RNA synthesized in vitro shall be purified with up-to-date ion-exchange chromatography methods from foreign proteins and foreign DNA, before it is introduced into the cell. Quantity of RNA obtained in vitro may be measured in milligrams and even grams, while the transcription system in vitro may be standardized. In the latter case, it is possible to calculate the RNA quantity accurate to a molecule that codes a protein and may penetrate into the mammalian cell in vitro or in vivo. Such methods as chemical transfection with chemicals, e.g. dendrimers, biological transfection with lipids and proteins, e.g. liposomes, electromechanic transfection, e.g. electroporation. Besides, RNA may be introduced as a part of bacteria, cationic and anionic polymers, liposome complexes, exposed to the electric field, inert particles, or other methods applicable to the introduction of nucleic acids into the cell. In this case RNA gets into the cell cytoplasm without leaving the nucleus and degradation. Thus, it may be immediately involved in the synthesis of respective proteins in the cytoplasm. The quantity of RNA involved in the synthesis may be accurately calculated. Average half-decay time of an RNA molecule in the cell is up to several hours (3-6), and the injected molecule is deprived of the sequences that may be involved in the DNA synthesis. Thus, when RNA is injected, the cell is not modified on the genetic level, the cell genome does not change, and the cell does not obtain genetic elements of viruses that may cause oncogenesis. Besides, no extra time is required for molecules to penetrate into the nucleus, for the RNA synthesis and for its transportation back to the cytoplasm, while the quantity of injected RNA may be standardized. Unlike other methods of preparing pluripotent stem cells, the current method uses cells of mammalian placenta and umbilical cord that contain particular sequences (as parts of RNA) enabling the transition of cells to the pluripotent state. When a mammal (a human being) is being born, the placenta and umbilical cord get separated from it. The placenta and umbilical cord contain a range of cell populations, e.g. fibroblasts, keratinocytes, endotheliocytes, hemopoietic and mesenchymal cells that may be isolated, multiplied, and stored. These cells are the youngest cells in the organism, they have never been exposed to the environment and at this stage may be obtained without any invasion. Thus, cells of all types contained in placenta and umbilical cord are the most accessible and the safest for individual reprogramming, as they have a minimum set of defects acquired in the course of ontogenesis. All cells selected from placenta and umbilical cord may be used for the introduction of ribonucleic acids of a particular composition to shift them to the pluripotent state. Reprogramming factors that correspond to proteins Oct4 (POU5F1),Sox2, HNF3b, PDX1, HNF6, ngn3, PAX4, NKX 2.2,FoxB3,HNF4a, Nkx2.5, Nkx2.2, Nkx6.1 and other families of Nkx, Pax4, Klf4, Ngn3, Pdx1, Mafa or others that cause the necessary changes of the culture properties may be used as sequences enabling the transition of cells to the pluripotent state. They may be introduced into the cells as part of RNA simultaneously or one at a time. По предоставленным Заказчиком данным наиболее существенное значение в данной статье баланса приходится по 100 % доле участия в ТОО «Сагынды», балансовая стоимость инвестиций равна 2980744 тыс. тенге, что составляет 100% балансовой стоимость капитала ТОО «Сагынды». Нами была изучена структура активов и пассивов ТОО «Сагынды» и выявлено, что более 99% активов приходится на земельный участок с кадастровым номером 13-199-007-036 находящийся в Мангистауская область, Тупкараганский район, ТОО «Жай- лау», местность Сыгынды. После проведенной оценки, в соответствии с результатом отчета об оценки № 651 от 30 сентября 2008 г. балансовая стоимость 2961638000 тенге была скорректи¬рована на рыночную стоимость и составила 93340000 тенге Итого балансовая стоимость долгосрочных финансовых инвестиций равна 116584 тыс. тенге (93340 23244). 6.2.5. Расчет стоимости дебиторской задолженности При оценке величины рыночной стоимости дебиторской задолженности нами была изу¬чена ее структура и динамика изменения по отчетным данным в ретроспективе. В результате изучения структуры дебиторской задолженности был сделан вывод о том, что деловые взаи¬моотношения предприятия с большей частью его дебиторов носят надежный долгосрочный характер, и есть все основания учитывать возврат ими задолженности в полном объеме. Ры¬ночная стоимость дебиторской задолженности принята в соответствии с учетными данными на 30.09.2008 г. и составляет 49029 тыс. тенге. Далее принимаем полученную сумму на дату оценки. 6.2.6. Расчет стоимости товарно-материальных запасов Анализ документации, представленной для проведения оценки и осмотр показали, что на дату определения стоимости оцениваемое предприятие имеет объекты, учитываемых в соот¬ветствии с правилами ведения учета как ТМЗ на сумму 151122 тыс. тенге, также было выявле¬но, что способ учета и оценки НМА, принятый на предприятии, в полной мере отражает вели¬чину их рыночной стоимости, поэтому в корректировке этой статьи баланса нет необходимо¬сти. 6.2.7. Расчет стоимости денежных средств В связи с тем, что денежные средства, учитываемые предприятием на дату определения стоимости, представляют собой абсолютно ликвидные активы, величина их балансовой стои¬мости в полном объеме соответствует рыночной и корректировке не подлежит. Таким обра¬зом, рыночная стоимость денежных средств составляет 55378 тыс. тенге. Вышеописанная методика расчета рыночной стоимости контрактов была реализована нами в рамках доходного подхода (раздел 8 настоящего отчета). Результатом расчета является стоимость всей компании, нам же необходимо рассчитать стоимость каждого месторождение. Для этого мы будем опираться на прогнозные данные о запасах каждого месторождения и пе¬риоде вероятного начала добычи в соответствии с предоставленными Заказчиком документа¬ми. Далее приводится более подробная характеристика контрактов. Разведочные блоки Участок «Балыкши» • Площадь: 1 788 кв. км • Глубина отвода: до кровли фундамента • Месторасположение: в непосредственной близости г. Calculation of the short-term and long-term financial investment value In the process of the appraisal, it was found out that the estimated enterprise had the assets accountable as long-term financial investments equal to 2,984,882 thousand tenge at the appraisal date. According to the data provided by the Client, the most considerable part of this balance sheet item falls on the 100% holding in Sagyndy LLP, the investment book value is equal to 2,980,744 thousand tenge, which makes up 100% of the Sagyndy LLP capital book value. We studied the structure of the assets and liabilities owned by Sagyndy LLP and found out that more than 99% of the assets fall on the plot of land with cadastral No.13-199-007-036 located in Mangystau Province, Tupkaragan District, Zhay-Lau LLP, Cygyndy Territory. After the appraisal, in accordance with the results of appraisal report No.651 dated September 30, 2008, the book value equal to 2,961,638,000 tenge was adjusted by the market value and changed to 93,340,000 tenge. The total book value of the long-term financial investments is equal to 116,584 thousand tenge (93340 23244). 6.2.5. Calculation of the receivables value In the process of the receivable market value appraisal, we studied the receivable structure and behaviour on the basis of the reported data in the retrospective view. As a result of the study of the receivable structure, we made a conclusion that business relationships of the enterprise with the majority of its debtors are of a reliable long-term character, and there is a good ground to expect their debts to be repaid in full measure. The market value of the receivables was approved in accordance with the accounting data as of September 30, 2008, and is equal to 49,029 thousand tenge. Then we approved the sum received at the appraisal date. 6.2.6. Calculation of the inventory holding value The analysis of the documentation provided for the apprisal and the inspection showed that the estimated enterprise had some objects accountable as inventory holdings equal to 151,122 thousand tenge at the appraisal date, in accordance with the accounting rules. Thus there is no need for the adjustment of this balance sheet item. Moreover, it was found out that the enterprise accounting method used for the accounting and appraisal of intangible assets in full measure reflects their market value, thus there is no need for the adjustment of the present balance sheet item. 6.2.7. Calculation of the cash asset value As the cash assets accounted by the enterprise at the appraisal date consist of the totally liquid assets, their book value in full measure corresponds to the market value and should not be adjusted. Thus, the cash asset market value is equal to 55,378 thousand tenge. The above described methodology for the contract market value calculation was implemented in the framework of the income approach (Section 8 of the present report). The calculation result is equal to the value of the entire company, however we should calculate the value of each deposit. To do that we will rely upon the expected data concerning the reserves of each deposit and the starting date of the expected extraction in accordance with the documents provided by the Client. A detailed description of the contracts is cited below. Exploration blocks Balykshi Plot • Area: 1,788 sq.m. • Allotment depth: up to the basement top • Location: in close vicinity to the Atyrau city • Infrastructure: There is a railway in the provincial centre along with the cargo handling sites. There is an asphalt road leading to all the cities of the Province located within the plot. In the centre of the block under study, there is petroleum refinery Karabotan under construction, which is connected to the roads, oil and gas pipelines, electric power facilities. • Surroundings: the nearest oil fields of the above-salt complex are Iskene (northeastern border), Dossor, Baychunas, Karsak, Botakhan, Kosshagyl, Ayrankol (Kaspiy Oil). The nearest oil fields of the pre-salt complex are deposit Tengiz located 100 kilometres to the southeast, deposit Kashagan located 60 kilometres to the southeast. Contract conditions Contract No.1418 dated May 19, 2004 • The contract term is 6 years, 2004 to 2010. (contract extension is possible under the 2 2 scheme, i.e. two times for two years); • Signing bonus is $150,000 (paid). • Minimum working programme is $11,440,000. • Discovery bonus is 0.1% of the approved recoverable reserve value, which should be paid within 90 days since the date of approval in the State Committee for Reserves. • Royalty: less than 2,000 thousand tons – 2%; 2,000 thousand tons to 3,000 thousand ton - 3%; 3,000 thousand tons to 4,000 thousand tons - 4%; 4,000 thousand tons to 5,000 thousand tons - 5%; more than 5,000 thousand tons – 6%. • Past costs are $1,788,320, $26,825 (1.5%) of them are paid within 30 days since the purchase date of the geological data. Source text - Russian Ермек Нарымбаев, лидер движения «Арман» Оказался за решеткой после того, как 1 мая принял участие в собрании демократической общественности, организованном народной партией «Алга!» (вместо запрещенной властями первомайской демонстрации). Тогда на мирное собрание, проходившее в полном соответствии с буквой закона - в том числе и главного, Конституции республики! – власти отреагировали беспредельно жестко. Кордоны полиции блокировали людей, не давая им пройти в парк и почтить память павших в Великой отечественной войне 1941-1945 годов. А когда в знак протеста началась голодовка, и прозвучал лозунг «Назарбаев, кет!» - и вовсе перешли к задержаниям, грубым и бесцеремонным. Среди задержанных 1 мая был и Ермек Нарымбаев. А уже на следующий день (всем бы казахстанским чиновникам такую оперативность!) его ждал приговор – 15 суток СИЗО. Именно столько, по версии суда, сегодня в Казахстане «стоит» право почтить память павших воинов и несогласие с полицией, помешавшей людям, в том числе женщинам и старикам, сделать это. Или это было расплатой за гневные слова в адрес президента? Но оказалось, лозунг «Назарбаев кет!» ценят «дороже» - не успели подойти к концу эти 15 суток, как на Ермека Нарымбаева появилось уже уголовное дело. В дополнение к участию в незаконном шествии общественного деятеля обвинили в нападении на полицейских. Якобы с одного он сорвал погон (!), а другого толкнул локтем так, что тот упал. Затем к этому добавилось еще и оскорбление судьи, которое допустил Нарымбаев во время заседания 2 мая. Все слова защиты о том, что доказательства этому абсурдному обвинению отсутствуют, и более того, есть свидетельства, ставящие сами обвинения под большой вопрос, суд, конечно же, проигнорировал. Еще бы, ведь прими он во внимание видеозапись, где четко видно, что полицейский падает, просто споткнувшись, неизвестно, был бы вообще обвинительный приговор… В то, что ее муж напал на полицейского, не верит и Зоя Нарымбаева. Хотя бы потому, что на это у него банально не было сил, ведь даже в зал заседаний суда его вели под руки сразу трое полицейских – все дни ареста Нарымбаев продолжал голодать! И в таком состоянии он напал на стража порядка? О предвзятости суда заявлял и адвокат Нарымбаева Бахыт Биманов, обративший особое внимание на то, что суд никак не принял во внимание действия полиции в отношении своего подзащитного 1 мая. А ведь задерживавшие его полицейские тащили силой, он много раз падал, но это никому не было интересно. Впрочем, суд это нисколько не волновало. Как и то, что рассмотрение дела происходило в отсутствие обвиняемого – «правосудию по-казахстански» лишние церемонии ни к чему. Да что говорить – даже о том, что Нарымбаева обвиняют в серьезном преступлении, стало известно совершенно случайно. Его супруга, придя на свидание в СИЗО, мужа там попросту не обнаружила – его уже забрали на допрос. С новым делом суд справился также оперативно. Два дня работы и вердикт был готов: 4 года колонии. Попытки обжаловать приговор пока успеха не принесли – 11 августа суд ответил на апелляционную жалобу отказом. Сам заключенный сдаваться не намерен. После отказа в пересмотре приговора он объявил о начале новой голодовки протеста. Сегодня главное требование Нарымбаева – предоставить ему возможность защищаться перед справедливым судом, приговор которого бы базировался на доказательствах и законе, а не на желании угодить вышестоящему начальству и сведении счетов с политически неудобными деятелями. В этом его поддерживают жена и дети (а их у Нарымбаева трое!), которые, несмотря на то, что благодаря «правосудию» остались без мужа, отца и кормильца, не теряют надежды добиться справедливости и увидеть его на свободе гораздо раньше, чем через 4 года.	Translation - English Yermek Narymbayev, the leader of the Arman (Kazakh, Dream) movement, was imprisoned, when on May, 1 he took part in the meeting of democratic community backed by Alga! (Kazakh, Ahead!), a people’s party. The meeting took place instead of the May Day demonstration banned by the government. The authorities’ response to the peaceful gathering, organized in compliance with the letter of the law – including the major law, the Constitution – was extremely harsh. Police cordons blocked the park entrance and wouldn’t let people honor the victims of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). Then it reacted with brute and offhand arrests to the subsequent protest fast and slogan “Nazarbayev, ket!” (Kazakh, “Nazarbayev, go away!”). Yermek Narymbayev was one of those arrested on May, 1. On the next day (we wish all the Kazakhstan officials were so prompt!) he was sentenced to 15 days in jail. This is the “price” charged by the court of law for honoring perished soldiers and disagreement with the police that did not allow people, including women and the aged, to do that. Or was it just the reckoning for angry words addressed to the President? Later the “Nazarbayev, ket!” slogan proved to be “more expensive” – before the 15-day term was over, they built a criminal case against Yermek Nazarbayev. In addition to the illegal demonstration, the public leader was accused of the assault on police. Supposedly, he tore off a shoulder strap of one policeman and elbowed another one, which knocked him down. The case was further complicated with the contempt of the judge, which took place during the court session on May, 2. The court of law ignored all the defense arguments that there was no evidence for such an absurd charge and, what’s more, there were testimonies that brought the charges into a big question. Why, had they taken a videotape into account, which clearly showed that the policeman just stumbled over something and fell; there could have been no guilty verdict at all… Zoya Narymbayeva does not believe that her husband attacked a policeman. At least because of the mere fact that he was not fit enough: even to the courtroom he was accompanied by three policemen, who carried him under his arms – during the 15-day arrest Narymbayev continued the hunger strike. Could he attack a policeman in a state like that? Bakhyt Bimanov, Narymbayev’s attorney, pleaded the bias of the court and paid special attention to the fact that the court did not take into consideration the police actions directed against his defendant on May, 1. The policemen dragged him by force; he fell again and again, but nobody was interested. However, the court of law didn’t care about that. As it didn’t care about the trial which took place in the defendant’s absence – the “Kazakhstan justice” has no need in extra formalities. There is no denying, it became known quite by chance that Narymbayev had been charged with a serious crime. When Zoya came to visit her husband in jail, he couldn’t find him, as he had already been taken away for the interrogation. The new case was promptly finished. Two days of hard work and a verdict was delivered: 4 years in a penal colony. The attempts to appeal against the sentence were of no effect – on August, 11 the court of law rejected the appeal. Still, the prisoner has no intention to give in. After the appeal had been rejected, he initiated a new protest fast. Now the main Narymbayev’s demand is to be defended in a fair trial and to get the sentence based on evidence and law, but not on the desire to please the superior authorities and to get even with the politically inappropriate figure. He is supported by his wife and children (the three of them!), who still fight for fairness and hope (despite the fact that due to “justice” they lost their husband, father and breadwinner) to see him at large much earlier than in 4 years.

Dear Partners!

Some of you may be interested in the particular steps that I made moving up in my professional career. To begin with, I would like to mention that my career comprises two closely related segments: translation and teaching. Here is a brief account of both.

Teaching. As an educator I was subsequently employed by American University of Nigeria (Yola, Nigeria), Altai State Pedagogic Academy (Barnaul, Russia) and American University in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Sarajevo, BiH). The courses I taught and am teaching at the moment include (but are not limited to) the following: English as a Second Language, Creative Writing, English and American Literature, Specialist Translation, Scientific and Industrial Translation, and IT in Linguistics. Being an easygoing person and a practical translator, I never need much time to break the ice with my students and make them interested in the subject I teach. I always do my best to turn any course into an elaborate combination of theoretical material, thought-provoking case studies and challenging practical assignments.

Translation. As a freelance translator I have worked with a number of public organizations and private companies. Avaya Inc. (a multinational technology company), General Electric (a multinational corporation), Dell Inc. (a computer technology company), BMW AG (an automobile and engine manufacturer), Palo Alto Networks Inc. (a network security company), Fisher & Paykel (a major appliance manufacturer), McKesson Corporation (a pharmaceutical distributor), Altai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, OAO Sibenergomash (a manufacturer of steam boilers and industrial fans), as well as individual Russia and India-based researchers, are among my primary clients. I am regularly invited as an interpreter to support the events hosted by the Russian Federal Agency for Tourism, Altai State Administration and OAO Pava (a grain processing company).

I am an advanced user of numerous software packages, including Microsoft Office 2013, SDL Trados Studio 2014, MemoQ 2015, and Wordfast Pro, all of them being installed on my personal desktop computer with a triple-core processor, Windows 7 Professional operating system, and high speed Internet connection.

My international experience, acquired computer literacy and fluency in the English language make me a good choice for anyone in search of a scrupulous translator and a reliable partner.
