I am a freelance English to German translator and a science journalist writing for major German magazines and newspapers. My specializations are biology, biotechnology, genetics, environment, philosophy and medicine.
A native of Germany I have been living in the United States for ten years. I hold an advanced degree in biology (German “Diplom”) from the Humboldt-University of Berlin, Germany, and a University Certificate in Science Journalism from the Free University of Berlin.
As a long-time resident of the US and a journalist I have an excellent grasp of both the German and English language. This allows me not only to translate a text correctly, but also to make it readable in the target language and to use the right scientific terminology. I translate general texts, articles, scientific papers, reports and manuals. |
