Hello all!

I am currently looking for any translation, proofreading, interpreting, or audiovisual adaptation work (subtitling, dubbing, and voiceover) with translation agencies or direct clients. My current working languages are French and English, which are both my native languages. I also know Spanish and German, although to a lesser extent.

My main field of expertise is law, but I am also very willing to work on anything involving international affairs, marketing, film, culture, tourism, sports and leisure.

I have been working officialy as a freelance translator for just over a year. Before I started, I had other translating experiences. I was an intern at the Association Française du Génie Parasismique (French Earthquake Engineering Association), where I translated a number of scientific documents related to earthquake engineering and seismology. I also translated a number of documents for researchers at the CNRS (French National Centre for Scientific Research), including a research article by Marc Loriol related to stress, burnout and workplace harassment.

I hold an MA in Translation and Interpreting from Swansea University, which enabled me to gain significant knowledge of translation, lingusitics and interpreting. I specialised in legal and medical interpreting. I also hold a Masters degree from the university of Paris Ouest - Nanterre, in French law and English law, thanks to which I gained invaluable knowledge of both legal systems. During my last year of studies within this degree, I specialized in European Union law and International law - this provided me with an extensive insight of various international law systems and mechanisms such as the United Nations and the European Union and their functioning, as well as the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.

I closely follow current affairs, international affairs and politics. Among my other interests are tennis, which I play at a competitive level, various other sports such as cricket and rugby union, music (I play the piano and the guitar), film and travelling.
