Cambodia, 2015: With the increase in the number of vehicles on the road in the capital Phnom Penh, traffic congestion and the number of accidents has worsened. To mitigate this situation, XX Electric joined a project launched to install traffic lights at intersections and introduce a traffic control system in the city. Just over two years after operation of this system began, the positive results are evident: traffic congestion has been greatly alleviated and the introduction of the traffic control system has raised awareness of the road rules among citizens. On the back of the success of this project, XX Electric will continue to look at ways to help resolve urban traffic problems in emerging countries around the world.

Translation - English 3. Expected Integration Effect
ZZ will embark on a rationalization of domestic thermal power plants and take an integrated/strategic scrap and build approach to generation sources. In addition to building an optimized energy portfolio that includes renewable energy which makes active use of IoT technology and other external resources, leveraging XX Fuel & Power and YY’s know-how and business foundations, ZZ aims to improve the competitiveness of the domestic thermal power generation business and mitigate environmental burden through such efforts as the construction of a globally-competitive Operation & Maintenance (“O&M”) services model.
By applying the know-how cultivated through participation in the overseas energy market in a domestic setting, the company looks to engage in market dealings to enhance profitability in addition to contributing to the sound formation of the newly-created Japanese electricity market. Furthermore, ZZ will actively participate in new business areas, such as expanding the gas wholesale and global O&M businesses.
