Ariadna Montiel | Sworn Translator DE-ES | Translator
& Proofreader DE/EN-ES/GL

 

 

My name is Ariadna and I am a professional
sworn translator, registered as a freelancer. I studied Translation and
Interpreting at the University
of Granada (Spain) of German and English. I had the
privilege of completing my studies by doing two stays abroad: an academic year
in the University of Graz
(Austria) and another at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Germany).

 

My specialisation is legal, economic and commercial translation and I have been officially
appointed as a German-Spanish Sworn Translator and Interpreter by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and
Cooperation. The projects I work on for my regular clients involve many other areas apart from those already mentioned: art, cosmetics,
surveys, fashion, online sales, cinema, food, instructions, education,
literature, research, music and even some engineering and science for
informative purposes. My main work focuses on translations, sworn translations and proofreading, but I also do audio/video transcriptions, literary
translations, transcreations or creative translations and translation quality
assessment. My daily output of translated words is between 3,000-5,000 words per day and 8,000-10,000 words for proofreading projects. I own a SDL Trados Studio 2017 license, which is my main working CAT tool, but I am also used to
work with memoQ 8.5 since years. I am a professional member of ASETRAD and APTIJ.
