I am a fully qualified language lover with extensive experience living in the countries where the two languages I translate from are spoken:
🔸7 years immersed in the language and culture of Italy, working, studying part of my BA in Modern Languages, meeting people, making friends, learning to cook pasta "the right way", dreaming in that language... ah, Italy, what a beautiful country.
🔸6 years and counting, immersed in the language and culture of the United Kingdom, married to a British man, studying an MA in Translation, meeting new people, working, reading, writing, absorbing facts and learning new things every day.
🔸3 years of professional experience working for direct clients and agencies in the fields of Marketing, Languages and Education, Veterinary, Fashion and Design Furniture. Wishing to expand my expertise and meet new people and work on new exciting projects.
I listen carefully to your needs and do all necessary questions beforehand and I respect any procedure or requirement you have in place; I work on your text until it reads how I want it to be to convey the meaning, but as if it was originally written in Spanish or Catalan and I deliver it, by the agreed time, giving to it the same importance (and necessary checks and revisions), whether it is part of a big project or a one-time short document.
My office hours are 9:00 - 17:00 UK Time on weekdays but,
If we live in different time zones I can accommodate work meetings outside office hours.
I answer any work email as quickly as I can.
If the project is big I can do a sample test of your material, so you can see how your text would be in the new languages.
