Description | Ukrainian Translators Association was founded in response to an overwhelming demand in the quality of translation and interpreting services. All who deal with translation professionally, both translators and customers need information, legal and technical support. When seeking the service of a translator/interpreter, always look for the symbol of the Ukrainian Translators Association of Translation Companies on the advertisement of a translation agency or business card of a translator/interpreter. The UTA members adhere to the code of professional conduct and are carefully vetted before admission into membership as full members. Main aims and tasks of the Ukrainian Translators Association: To promote the highest standards of the profession. To protect the rights and interests of translators/interpreters. To certify translators and interpreters. To build stronger image for the profession. To create conditions for fair competition in Ukraine. To elaborate consisted requirements to rendering the translation and interpreting service. To represent interests of UTA�s members internationally. To participate in activities of international translators organizations, associations and unions. To share experience in translation and interpreting. To hold examination of translations and to settle disputes arisen between a customer and a translator. To publish the list of certified translators/interpreters, full members of the Ukrainian Translators Association, as well as of companies dealing with translation according to requirements of local standards STTU APU 001-2000 and STTU APU 002-2000 and/or ISO 9002 or DSTU ISO 9002 certified quality system. To hold tenders for an order/contract on translation and/or interpreting. To provide consultations on translation and interpreting. To develop optimal translation solutions for a particular order reasoning from the specific volume, topic and application of a translation as well as from a customer�s requirements. |
