1) Le premesse formano parte integrante della presente scrittura.
2) Il XXXXX rinuncia a contestare qualsivoglia responsabilità dell’Agente per eventuali suoi inadempimenti e/o comportamenti negligenti, rinunciando in via definitiva a qualunque pretesa, anche risarcitoria, derivante da tali inadempimenti e/o comportamenti e dichiarando di non aver più nulla a che pretendere dall’Agente per qualsiasi titolo o causa derivante o connessa al rapporto di agenzia ed alla sua risoluzione.

4) Si concorda tra le parti:

1) The recitals section hereinabove is to be considered an integral and essential part of the present Agreement.

- in such an event interest on the entire collectible amount shall mature at the annual rate of ……%;
- the due dates set out above shall be considered to have been met if the electronic bank wire is dated on or before the date of the due date (or within the five days’ grace period).

In an increasingly interconnected world, qualified translators are vital for an ever larger number of daily transactions.
In over twenty years of language-based work, I have been called upon to translate and interpret in a variety of diverse situations, from the purely academic contexts of universities based both in the United States and in Europe, to the fast-paced business worlds of Milan, New York, and Buenos Aires. Vastly different, but equally rewarding, has been my work in language and teacher training, which over the years has permitted me to explore, with a somewhat different focus, the countless ways in which two languages may be so fascinatingly - and so frustratingly! - different and yet, on other levels, so very alike.
As a native speaker of English, my experiences of having lived abroad in both Latin America and Europe have permitted me not only to gain proficiency in both Spanish and Italian, but also to develop an increased degree of sensitivity toward these two cultural realities, something every translator must possess if he or she is to effectively “pierce the language barrier” and create accurate, compelling translations in another language, destined for readers from other cultures.
Finally, my graduate studies in linguistics, which included several seminars dedicated specifically to translation and intercultural studies, have aided me immensely in transforming language skills into that sometimes infuriating, at times even enormously difficult, but even more frequently magnificent activity that we call translation.
Thus, in a nutshell, I am a native speaker of American English, currently residing in Milan, Italy, where I have honed my knowledge of Italian to native-level proficiency, with:
• over 30 years’ experience in foreign language and intercultural training in the academic, professional and commercial sectors;
• over 20 years' experience in marketing/copywriting (including SEO) in diverse sectors;
• over 20 years’ professional translating experience (IT/ES>EN/IT), specializing in the academic, legal, medical, marketing, fashion, and culinary/wine sectors;
• over 10 years’ experience working as an in-house legal translator for a busy international law firm;
• over 15 years’ experience in translating articles for medical and academic journals and conferences.
