Difference between 'сознающий' and 'сознаваемый'
"Соловьёв утверждает, что истина триединства «вполне понятна с логической стороны»: примером такого существа, для которого триединство имело бы существенное значение, оказывается жизнь человеческого духа, в тождестве сознающего, сознаваемого и акта сознания."
I am struggling to understand the difference between сознающий and сознаваемый here. Any help would be mush appreciated.

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

That's the simple option, I think. And "knowledge" has been used for "сознание" in standard translations of Solovyov. If, however, there is a sustained, logical exposition in your text, then you might want to opt for what Chernyshov proposed, "the identity of the one who is conscious, the object of consciousness, and the act of being conscious," or something like that. Because there are places where Solovyov goes into great detail about this concept/act of сознание, including taking the word apart. Sorry that this quotation is from an English translation, rather than the original, because I'd like to confirm that it is also "сознание" which has been translated here as "knowledge" at the beginning of the sentence. Anyway, maybe it will be interesting:
"And this knowledge of fact - immediately and inseparably connected with the fact itself, always found with it, beside it, and therefore justly called con-sciousness [so-znaniye], con-scientia, Bewusstsein (i.e., Bei-wusstein) - must be acknowledged as absolutely valid because here knowledge directly agrees with its object, thought is a simple repetition of fact, judgment is the expression of pure identify: A = A."

The whole fullness of the triune spirit: in the first place, I am the one who knows and wills. Consequently, my being as such contains in itself both knowledge and will. Second, if I know, I know or am conscious of the fact that I am and that I will. Thus, here too, in knowledge as such, or under the form of knowledge, both being and will are contained. Third and last, I will myself, yet not simply myself but myself as one who is and knows; I will my being and knowledge. … Each of these three fundamental acts of the spirit is completed in itself by the other two and thus becomes individualized, as it were, into full triune being.

As I understand the writer, he is trying to explain the inexplicable by means of logic. Is it the translation of the verb you object to, Alexandra? Thank you for your feedback.

I've appologised to my dear colleague already, I've made a mistake twice: ITS, no apostrophy, if only the asker will accept my correction.

: it's = it is. Of it is cognizance? There's a correct way to spell 'its' and a wrong way. http://www.re-vision.com/spelling/itsits.html
