Bio
A native speaker of English, I have been translating technical and scientific texts from French and German into English for over 20 years.
With a background of several years in the automotive industry (cars and trucks) at European level, I have more recently become involved with the railway industry. I have worked on both rolling stock and switches and crossings, and I translated most of the Operating and Maintenance Manuals for the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (HS1).
Areas of experience include:
• Machine tools
• Automotive engineering – commercial vehicles and cars
Since September 2018 I have been teaching French into English translation to Masters' Degree students at the ITIRI, University of Strasbourg.
You can find out more about my experience as a freelance technical and scientific translator from my CV, which you can download via the link on this page. Please feel free to contact me via the ProZ messaging system for more information.
