Selected
Herault striped toad/striped toad indigenous to the Herault region of France
Zero hits for "zebra toad", Herault or otherwise. A fair number for "striped toad" however.

Comment: "Thanks, I think the idea is to give an example of an initiative, I don't think it is vital to put the exaxt species so this helps."

maybe - the western spadefoot toad (Pelobates cultripes)
It may be this species; depends how specific you need to be - lots of nice pics. on the first site!

: This could be what is meant, as it is the object of conservation efforts in the region, but the common name in French is ' Pélobate cultripède'.

Herault zebra toad
A literal translation is the best option if the specific species cannot be determined.

crapaud-zbre de l'Hrault
banded toad
would fit standard faunistic nomenclature, but the two banded toads I've found on Internet, Benedetto and Damien, live in Asia, not l'Hérault.

Bufo latastii (Ladakh Toad, Lataste\'s Toad, Vertebral-banded Toad).

Natterjack Toad or Western Spadefoot or European Painted Frog
The "crapaud-zèbre de l'Hérault" does not exist
so two solutions:
- either it is a made up species than "Hérault Zebra toad" is fine
-either is a weird name for a rare species of toad found in the Hérault there are only 3 "notable" species of toad in the county:
-Natterjack Toad (Bufo calamita) which has a yellow stripe down the back;
-Western Spadefoot (Pelobates cultripes) which more mottled than stripped;
- European painted Frog (Discoglossus pictus) which a frog like toad with camouflage type markings.
