scooty (asker) Sep 4, 2005:
it is indeed sniper worm
Rachel Vanarsdall Sep 4, 2005:
is it sniper or spider?
scooty (asker) Sep 3, 2005:
more context A guy is showing a worm and says :
"This is the dreaded sniper worm.
One bite of his venom and you'll dance all night.
It's considered the happy worm.
I've been called that a couple of times myself."
DocteurPC Sep 3, 2005:
BTW happy worm, for whom? not the one who gets bitten obviously
DocteurPC Sep 3, 2005:
I searched everywhere, sans succs - I have the feeling that those are not the "official names" but maybe names given locally, so they would not show up in Internet searches or in encyclopedia under those terms
can you give us more context?

ver tueur, ver porte-bonheur

une idée. Il me semble, sans garantie, qu'il ne s'agit pas de noms zoologiques. Je traduirais juste par des expression équivalentes.
