Seems like this should be simple, but I am not getting it in the context...
Con el objeto de no afectar la escala de la Avenida Juárez, los edificios altos que ocuparían la Secretaria de Relaciones Exteriores y el Tribunal Superior de Justicia del Distrito Federal fueron ubicados en el centro de la manzana y concebidos con la fuerza volumétrica que nos ha legado, desde tiempos precortesianos, la arquitectura mexicana, tratándolos con materiales y ***aberturas*** de nuestro tiempo que ofrecen una imagen contemporánea con raíces en nuestra cultura. Su diseño está inspirado en la tradición del Centro Histórico y el amor del pueblo mexicano por el color. Para obtener los tonos y la textura artesanal que pretendíamos para el conjunto, recorrimos diversos estados de la República en busca de materiales mexicanos, condición que nos habíamos planteado desde un principio.
