Seems like this should be simple, but I am not getting it in the context...

Su diseño está inspirado en la tradición del Centro Histórico y el amor del pueblo mexicano por el color. Para obtener los tonos y la textura artesanal que pretendíamos para el conjunto, recorrimos diversos estados de la República en busca de materiales mexicanos, condición que nos habíamos planteado desde un principio.
