Flüstermotor

German to English Tech/Engineering Automation & Robotics Packaging automation
This new type of motor is the subject of a press release for a packaging automation company.

The title of the article reads;

"Flüstermotor mit noch mehr Leistungsdichte"

The term gets one more mention later on:

"Die optimierte Magnetfeldverteilung des Stators und die geringen Eigenschwingungen machen den neuen Antrieb zu einem „Flüstermotor“ – unglaublich leise und vibrationsarm.

I'll start the bidding with "whispering motor", but if I thought that was any good I wouldn't be asking!

TIA for your elegant suggestions.

whisper-quiet motor

...to get the ball rolling. Not much better than "whispering motor," I guess.

"Silent-running motor" might be better.
Peer comment(s):

agree jccantrell : I like 'whisper-quiet.' Silent running reminds me of submarines in WW II. "Whispering" means it is trying to tell me something on the QT!

super quiet motor

although Ernst suggests whisper or whispering for Fluesterjet/-pumpe, I would use something more "marketingy" here, something along the lines of super quiet.
There are far more Googles for super quiet + motor than whisper(ing) + motor
Features: 1) Blending, juice extracting, milling (3-in-1) 2) Safety lock 3)
Powerful and super quiet motor 4) 2-speed selection ...

ultra-quiet motor

Fairly common and avoids the (potentially dodgy) claim that it's "silent".

Unfortunately, Kenmore seem to have established 'hush motor' as part of their brand...

After 'super-quiet', 'ultra-quiet' and ‘hyper-quiet’(?), some more suggestions:
Results 1 - 7 of about 47 for "incredibly quiet motor"
Results 1 - 10 of about 84 for "really quiet motor".
But how about this one?
Results 1 - 10 of about 927 for "very quiet motor".

neutral Ian M-H (X) : Asker did specify elegant, which this undoubtedly is, but I suspect the world might not yet (or no longer?) be receptive... ;-) // Maybe you should register this as a trademark? It could bring untold riches.

To be both ahead of one's time and yet retain classical style. What a superb compliment! Thanks, Ian.

whisper motor

Google seems to offer enough examples of whisper motor - particularly as "Flüstermotor" is used in inverted commas the second time.
