German term
in einem intelligenten Wirkkreis
German to English
Tech/Engineering
Energy / Power Generation
a factory is using a combined gas/steam turbine to produce thermal energy and electricity "dabei werden Waerme- und Stromerzeugung in einem intelligenten Wirkkreis durch Kraefte-Waerme Kopplung verbunden", the best I have come up with is "intelligent reactive circle" which I don't like. Many thanks for all help, much appreciated, in advance.

Google shows ‘Wirkkreis’ in various contexts apparently meaning ‘sphere/radius of effectiveness/ influence’ so here it may refer to the ‘scale’ of the operation. ‘Intelligent’ could also be rendered by ‘sensible’ or ‘economical’
