German term

Bereich

German to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) job title
Leiter der Abteilung Strukturierte Finanzierung im Bereich Finanz- und Rechnungswesen

I am having trouble getting this to hang together correctly. "Manager/Head of the Structured Finance Department "in the area" Finance and Accounting.
Is Bereich an area, field or a department (which would have to make it the Structured Finance Division I suppose) or can 'im Bereich' be replaced by a preposition (ie for?).

TIA for your help.

Head of the Structured Finance Division (Finance and Accounting)

It might be neater to jettison the prepositions in various of brackets: "Head of the Structured Finance Division (Finance and Accounting)". Personally, I prefer "division" to "department" here, but maybe that's just me.

for

Replacing it with "for" is eloquent and keeps to the meaning at the same time, Phyllis

division

I understand this as a hierarchy:
Head of the ... department ...
within the ... division
Finance & Accounting is the big division, within this division, there are departments.
